The O1E Security Officer Core Subjects Training in the Commonwealth of Virginia is an essential gateway for aspiring security professionals, whether they aim to protect with an armed presence, respond swiftly to alarms, or handle security canines. This foundational course is meticulously designed to equip participants with the crucial knowledge and skills necessary for success in their future roles.
Throughout the training, individuals will delve into the intricacies of Virginia's Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) rules and regulations and the critical laws governing the private security sector. Participants will gain insight into courtroom procedures, empowering them to navigate legal environments confidently.
The curriculum also covers various responsibilities that security officers must master, including effective report writing and polished verbal communication skills. Trainees will engage in practical exercises that prepare them for emergency response scenarios, and acquire essential de-escalation techniques. This course is a comprehensive stepping stone for those dedicated to ensuring community safety and security.
This is an 18-hour course comprised of two nine-hour days, with the exam given after the eighteenth hour.

All students must register and pay for the course before the date the course is held. You can do this by contacting us at (540) 595-9316, and we will take your payment over the phone. We use the Clover Pay System, and you will be emailed a receipt after you pay. There are no refunds except under limited circumstances.
